The professional, capable staff at Adobe House serves those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, helping them to live active lives while receiving supervision, security and care commensurate with their needs.

Adobe House in Petaluma is positioned around a large open-air courtyard. Residents go in and out at will and can freely exercise using ambling outdoor paths that link with interior walkways. For the residents' further enjoyment, the courtyard also contains an aviary. You'll also find lawn bowling and horseshoes, seating for outdoor dining and gardens.

The spacious furnished apartments with maple and pecan wood and upholstered pieces offer a comfortable, homey look ad feel. Each has individual temperature controls, a private bath and personal closets. Personal furnishings and items are welcome to complete the feeling of home.

Public areas include two social rooms for games, lounging or private family visits or celebrations and two traditionally furnished living rooms that are used for dining and activities.

Wandering Concerns
The dementia resident's need for movement is incorporated into the design of Adobe House, reducing the possibility of becoming lost of confused. In addition, the community is a secured residence with a delayed egress and alarm system.
